2022 Riesling

Our 2022 Mora Riesling originates from our Redback Ridge block at our Cairnmuir Road vineyard. These 22-year-old vines have dug deep through the alluvial soils and schist rock, and bring a fleshy fruit character to the wine. The lively acidity is beautifully balanced with the sweetness, making this a gorgeous lunchtime drop.
Cool morning pick, whole bunch pressed to stainless steel. Cold settled for 48 hours, then racked cleanly to tank. Fermented slowly to build texture, the ferment was stopped at great balance of sugar and acidity. Left to age for a few months on lees before being racked, stabilised and bottled.
Blossom, white peach and mandarin on the nose. Lemon curd with meringue-like texture. Bright red apple acidity. Perfectly balanced.
