Bright, ripe, fresh and pure fruited bouquet with scents of fresh lemon and white stone fruits, apple and green melon then flowers and a touch of minerality. Taut, youthful, salivating, fresh and delicious on the palate, flavours of citrus and white fleshed fruits coat the palate accentuated by acidity and power. The classic non fruit layers expected in SB are mild and soft with this example, sage and baby basil then minerality. very nice example with best drinking from 2022 through 2026+. 22 DEC 2022

Mouth-puckering sauvignon blanc with lime/lemon zest, oyster shell, wet slate and green apple flavours. Vibrant, high-energy wine with impressive fruit purity. Great with freshly shucked oysters garnished with a squeeze of lemon. 15 DEC 2022

Bright, even, pale lemon. The nose is elegantly soft and composed, with aromas of apple, gooseberry, lime peels, apple blossom and a touch of white spice. Medium-light bodied, aromas of green apple, gooseberry, lime and lime peels form a taut core, and apple blossom adorns and lingers with delicate white spice and a hint of saline. The tight, fresh acid line is fine-textured, carries a silky mouthfeel and good energy to a refreshing and elegant finish. This Sauvignon Blanc is thoughtful, features a focused acid line with vibrant fruit and a fine-textured mouthfeel. Match with white fish ceviche and blue cod over the next 3 years. Fruit from Pisa, own-rooted, planted in 1993, oldest certified organic vines. Whole bunch pressed, fermented in stainless steel to 13.4% alc, 3 g/l RS. Aged on lees for 3 months. Dec 2022
Excellent to Outstanding, Mark Henderson, Otago Daily Times
Fruit jubes, passionfruit, stonefruits, quite perfumed, with a stony/mineral quality evolving. Powerful in the mouth, melding the fruit sweetness with green herb/grassiness, red apple and dry honey while a deep vein of acidity gives a zesty, citrusy quality. Honey on riverstones. Tangy close, real drive, excellent length and carry. Apr 2023

Mora means 'to pause' in Latin and that's certainly what this wine made me do by shining a fresh new light on Central Otago Sauvignon Blanc. It has a medium body, dry, flinty freshness and smooth, soft texture that comes from three months lees ageing. This builds structure and adds a creamy note to the wine with its flavours of guava, fresh herbs, hints of passionfruit and zesty, vibrant palate.
