Cameron Douglas MS rates Mora new releases
Mora Sauvignon Blanc 2022, Pisa, Central Otago
93/100 points
"Bright, ripe, fresh and pure fruited bouquet with scents of fresh lemon and white stone fruits, apple and green melon then flowers and a touch of minerality. Taut, youthful, salivating, fresh and delicious on the palate, flavours of citrus and white fleshed fruits coat the palate accentuated by acidity and power. The classic non fruit layers expected in SB are mild and soft with this example, sage and baby basil then minerality. very nice example with best drinking from 2022 through 2026+."

"Plush and ripe fruited bouquet with pears and yellow apples, some quince and citrus then spice and yellow flowers. Crisp and dry on the palate with flavours that mirror the bouquet, a nice tautness and mealy mouthfeel, medium+ acid line and balanced finish. Best drinking from 2023 through 2026."

Mora Dry Riesling 2022, Bannockburn, Central Otago
92/100 points
"Aromas and flowers of fresh apple and pear, there’s floral and mineral intensity as the wine touches the palate enhanced by a back bone of acidity and dry mouthfeel. A very youthful and taut expression needing time to develop and integrate with a some softening of the acidity and power. A wine that will age well with best drinking from 2025 through 2035+."
