The neatly layered, youthful nose opens with delicate floral, white peach, apple and lemon aromas, sprinkled with cinnamon and a whiff of flint. With air, hints of roasted nut appears. The palate is elegant and mid-weight with zippy, saline acidity creating lovely line and precision. The restrained fruit is 'just' ripe, underpinned by carefully judged reduction and oak use. The structure is taut and tapered with acidity driving length as it finishes with hints of brioche, cinnamon and peach. A thoroughly modern and precise wine of finesse rather than being a blockbuster. It will age slowly by virtue of its restraint and balance 14 May 2025
