Aromas and flowers of fresh apple and pear, there’s floral and mineral intensity as the wine touches the palate enhanced by a back bone of acidity and dry mouthfeel. A very youthful and taut expression needing time to develop and integrate with a some softening of the acidity and power. Fragrant and quite floral riesling with oyster shell/mineral, lime zest and green apple flavours. Quite a punchy, mouth-watering wine with an attractive sweet/sour reaction promoting an exquisite tension. 15 DEC 2022

Thirst-quenching acid tension flows with apple skin textured phenolics and persists to a long, zingy finish. This livening Dry Riesling possesses a citrus core and a precise acid spine with power and length. Match with sole and pork head terrine over the next 8+ years. Dec 2022

Fruit sweetness, ripe fruits, a herbal note, lime, dry honey, gravelly minerality, lovely and very engaging. The palate is quite dry, again the lime, herb and minerally qualities, nectarine too, with some fruit pithy chewiness adding to the texture. Develops flower petal florality on the palate. Racy, and light on its feet. April 2023

Overall, a warm and settled growing season, with little to no high winds, no major frost events and very good soil moisture leading into late 2021. Weekly rain events throughout November took the vines into premium conditions for canopy growth. Flowering conditions were perfect, with warm dry weather over this crucial period. In turn, the fruit was very even in ripeness within the bunches. Autumn was settled and warm, and harvest was very busy and fast-paced. A stellar vintage with very high-quality fruit and fantastic crop loads, which were easily ripened by our lush, large canopies.
