Our beloved home and winery block in Bannockburn, 13.9 ha planted by Sir Clifford and Lady Marie Skeggs in 1996.
Our Cairnmuir Road vineyard is planted on schist soils in differing grades from fine sand on the lowest terraces through gravels and layers of rock.
Three varietals are planted here – 72% Pinot Noir and the balance in Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. The west-facing position of this unique vineyard site gives intense all day sun during the growing season, and it is here we see the darkest fruit character in our pinot noir, and the most rich, round and ripe tannins, acidity and structure.
